It has the feeling of fancy dress yet sexy. The fabric is a think knit and feels luxurious. The piece that comes across the chest is not attached so you could do off the shoulder on one side or pull it higher for more of a boat neck look. I ended up purchasing a red slip to wear to family event but this would be fun for valentines or fun holiday party at a club. I'm 5'6 and it was a little long on me but I had it altered.

The item is not as sheer as it looks. The material is stretchy and length of dress is good (Im 167cm). I would highly recommend the dress.
